Katherine K. Merseth

Katherine Merseth's work concentrates on teacher education, mathematics education, and the case-method of instruction. She has been on the faculty of the Harvard Graduate School of Education for more than 25 years, founding the nationally renowned School Leadership and Teacher Education Programs. More recently Merseth designed the Harvard Teacher Fellows program, which provides pre-service teacher education to Harvard College students. Through her work with school leaders internationally, she has edited three volumes of cases about classroom teaching practice in South Africa, Chile, and Brazil and she is currently collaborating with the QRTA on the development of a fourth volume, Dilemmas in Schools: Cases for Educators.
