Lina Al Tal

Lina Al Tal, Founder and Director of the National Center for Culture and Arts of the King Hussein Foundation 1987, Director of the Arab Youth Congress since 1993, and winner of the “Excellence of the First Class Medal” in Theatre and Education. Lina holds a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts from University of Wales, UK. Lina pioneered in introducing drama to formal education and had an integral role in the development of the theatrical movement, through establishing the first theatrical arts school in Jordan in 1998, and the first national interactive theatrical band in 1989, which produces plays about different issues. Lina published multiple research papers on theatre’s role in education for local and international organizations, and produced several musical and interactive theatrical plays such as “Petra En Hakat” (If Petra Spoke), “Opera Abu Hassan” (Abu Hassan’s Opera), and “Abr Al Riyah… Hikayat Arabiya” (Through the Wind… Arabian Tales).
